Born in Senegal in 1986, Manel starts his studies at the Dakar Fine Arts University where he discovers painting, "a mystery to penetrate and to master". Tester of materials, he perfects his drawing abilities. This is where he will do the meeting of a lifetime: painting. He then looks to create his own style in the figuro-abstract movement. He gives his own reality of the visible.

Graduated major of his promotion in 2010, he does a series of collective exhibitions where he makes himself noticed (Laureate in Iran of the 16th International Visual Arts Festival for young artists in 2009,  Laureate of the Blachère Foundation during the Biennale of Dakar in 2012).

His painting reflects his researches of a new pictorial process using different techniques and artistic inspirations.
